New beginnings

I finally bit the bullet and have accepted a new part time position. This will hopefully give me more time to restart my garden and continue studying. Although working full time provided more money, I found that I was spending too much as an outlet for stress, and could not enjoy the little spare time I had. Each day, I would leave early for work, arrive home late, and then crash, exhausted from workplace stress. Cleaning and cooking were sporadically done, but the poor garden was completely neglected. It took a while, but now I have decided to 'downshift', to make my life simpler and hopefully healthier! There are a heap of garden tasks that should be done before the start of spring, so new plants have the best start: remove debris and dead plants, mow, prune (yes I know it's rather late), re-mulch, start seeds. Because it is so cold (and usually wet), it's nigh impossible to force myself to work outside, so I think I'll start with the seeds. I hope my cat leaves the seedling tray alone this time!
