Clean Sweep, by Alison Haynes
Clean Sweep
by Alison Haynes
I have read a bunch of 'simplify your life', 'green your home' and 'time organisation' books prior to this on, so this held very little information that I hadn't already read somewhere else, even though the subtitle is: The Ultimate Guide to Decluttering, Detoxing and Destressing Your Home. It was written in a no-nonsense fashion, but grouped the tips and tricks very differently to how I would have categorised them. Subsequently the book felt quite disorganised, and in some places I felt it could have had a lot more depth (almost as if the writer got tired of researching and writing some areas). My mother enjoyed the book a lot, she had not read any of this type of book before, and will be using many of the cleaning recipes to help her save some money, and reduce the allergens around her home.
There is a revision to the book being released in 2009, and it seems to be released as both the 'Ultimate Guide' and simply Clean Sweep. Perhaps the areas that I felt were a little glossed over in the previous version will be a little more in depth in the new release.
