One more step to reducing 'waste' and saving money, I finally found a good water saving showerhead, restricting the water flow to 9L per minute - Nutra by Dorf. Luckily, even though this particular version is on a fixed arm, the showerhead is located high enough for me (just). I have seen a similar version using a rail/hand-held system, but haven't seen a 'high-low' arm version, which taller people most likely will require.
Of the various water saving showerheads I have tried, this one is the most pleasant. It doesn't feel like you are saving water - coverage and water speed are both good, heat control is adequate, although this might be affected by the recent change in washers to a domed version (easier to turn on/off). I don't use the 5 different functions very often, and haven't found any showerhead that excels in a 'massage' spray - this one is no better or worse than others I have tried. Turning between the functions is smooth - it doesn't feel like the showerhead is going to snap off, a common problem with other brands, especially plastic showerheads.
The only other problem I found with the Nutra, is that because it does restrict the water flow significantly, I'm not collecting as much grey water for my garden!
